Bianca and Chuck previously owned Personalized Fitness 4 You in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and built the successful company for 10 years. They sold the company to an employee before moving to New Zealand in September 2018. In 2019 after moving home to New Zealand with their toddler they started Wanaka Multisport.

Bianca is an Olympic and Common Wealth Games cyclist who competed in Sydney 2000. Bianca is a dual citizen of Western Samoa and New Zealand. In 1999 while based in the Netherlands with her Dutch Pro Cycling Team, she decided to switch her affiliation to Western Samoa. Birth Country of both her grandmother and grandfather and qualify Samoa for the 2000 Olympics. She did just that by winning the silver medal at the World Championships in South America in the individual time trial and placed in the road race at the Oceania Games. During the Olympic year she visited Western Samoa a few times. Meeting the people, her family and walking the sands of her grandmother’s small village “Papa” Bianca’s grandmother played a big part in her cycling career from representing New Zealand as a junior and elite rider to eventually representing Samoa.

Her grandmother passed days before the Olympic Games opening ceremony. Bianca was the first female Olympian for Western Samoa.
In 2001, she turned down a sports scholarship funded by the Australian Institute of Sport and retired from Elite Cycling.
Six months later she picked up a pair of running shoes and hit the pool to become a professional triathlete and duathlete. A world ranking of 5th in Duathlon, various wins and podium finishes including World Cups and Half Ironman Championships Bianca knows how to train and offers all her experience and insight to you. Her mentor as a young New Zealand rep cyclist was the late Don Oliver who introduced her to gym training in 1994. Don was 3x NZ weightlifting Olympian/Commonwealth Games athlete and he took Bianca under his wing and trained her alongside a few New Zealand All Black Rugby Players, New Zealand Golf Players, and New Zealand Swimmers. “Don gave me my foundation of strength in the gym. He told me it would stay with me the rest of my life. It was only natural for me to fall into this job, an opportunity to help all people of all levels, the way Don taught me.” She especially enjoys working with all people fighting obesity and weight control. Bianca comes highly recommended by Psychologists and Dieticians in the greater Philadelphia area as she has worked over the past ten years with young athletes fighting anorexia and bulimia. She has spoken at Penn State University, numerous high school assemblies, national American television and lectured on health and training specificity.

Chuck enjoys working with people of all levels. Special interests in training older individuals, cardiac rehab, youth sports, and the weekend warrior that wants to get the most out of their body. Chuck co- coached Bianca Simpson who eventually became his wife (2001) to the Sydney Olympics. He has given lectures on lactate testing and training specificity at Penn State University and national American triathlon camps. He has tested the elite swimmers at Villanova University numerous times over the years.

Chuck has worked with American nationally ranked elite boys school, Malvern Preparatory rowing team and helped some individuals on the team get accepted into Ivy league colleges in the United States. He brings knowledge, a compassionate, direct coaching manner to the gym and to our endurance athletes. Chuck has worked with special needs individuals for over ten years in the gym. He was also a Junior Olympic ski racer attended Carrabassett Valley Academy in Maine, ran on the cross country team for Penn State University, and competed as a semi-pro road cyclist and expert level mountain biker. He is a certified USATF track and field coach and New Zealand cycling certified coach.
